The Ponce Inlet Town Council has traditionally met bi-annually in a Special Town Council Meeting to review the previously established goals and to determine the goals of the Town for the next two years. Advisory Boards often submit recommendations to the Town Council for consideration in these meetings.
Citizens are encouraged to attend and participate in these discussions as well. In January 2018, the Town Council experimented with a new format for breaking out goals (objectives) by department. This led to a much larger number of goals (objectives) than in prior years. So much so that these were renewed for a third year. A new format to include recognition of the Town’s Vision Statement, Mission Statement, Long-Term Goals, and consideration of Five-Year Objectives is being prepared for presentation soon and citizens will be encouraged to participate in this process.
