Peter Finch
2020 Ponce Inlet Citizen of the Year
Peter Finch moved to Ponce Inlet in 2010 and began volunteering at that time. He has served on the Town’s Code Enforcement Board for the last eight years and is presently Vice-Chairman. He is also President of the Ponce Inlet Community Center after volunteering and serving as Vice-President for several years. Since his arrival 10 years ago, there aren’t many activities, organizations or clubs in town that Peter hasn’t been involved with, lending his time and talent and making a difference while enhancing our community. You can always find him volunteering at Ponce Inlet’s annual events such as, the Garden Club Arts, Crafts & Plant Sale, the Ice Cream Social, the Arbor Day celebration, the Christmas and Legends Parades, as well as, many other fundraising activities. Over the years, Peter has diligently worked on several Town sponsored programs, most notably “Positively Ponce”, “Ponce Preserves the Planet” and the “Mardi-Paws Parade” to support and raise money for our Dog Park. When he’s not working an event, Peter keeps our residents informed of activities and events by maintaining the large magnetic sign and marquee in front of the Ponce Inlet Community Center. Need a volunteer…you never have to ask Peter twice for help, he is always willing to donate his time and expertise. Peter Finch truly deserves our CFPI Volunteer of the Year Award.
